About the Awards

The Corporate Entrepreneur Awards celebrate innovation within big business. The new products and services that are disrupting industries, as well as the unsung heroes and teams spearheading these innovation efforts.

The awards are hosted by Market Gravity, an innovation consultancy that partners with corporates to help make big ideas real. The awards are a chance to:

– Hear from our keynote speaker and other innovation experts

– Get industry recognition for you and your team

– Network with other innovation leaders

– Enjoy delicious food and drink in an amazing venue!

1. Nominate an innovation

There are five categories of awards (see FAQs for judging criteria):

– New Product or Service: An innovation that has redefined your industry or category

– New Venture: An innovation that has taken your company into a new market or category

– Social Impact: An innovation that has had a positive social or environmental impact

– Innovation Program: A program or new way of working that has transformed your approach to innovation

– People’s Choice: Voted by attendees on the night

 

2. Attend the event

Come and join us on the night. Get inspired by examples of corporate innovation and network with other innovation leaders. Why not bring your team along and make a night of it! You don’t need to nominate an innovation to attend the event.

FAQs

Q) What is the deadline for submitting a nomination?

A) Monday September 21, 2015.

 

Q) What time do the awards start?

A) The event kicks off at 6pm, with the awards ceremony starting at 7pm.

 

Q) Is there a cost to nominate an innovation or attend the event?

A) No, getting to meet all you innovators is reward enough for us!

 

Q) Can I invite more people?

A) Absolutely! The more the merrier. Feel free to bring you fellow innovators, colleagues, partners, siblings, friends etc. We’ll make an evening of it. But make sure they register here.

 

 Q) What if I’m not in NYC – can I still nominate?

A) Yes. We welcome nominations from across North America. You don’t need to attend the awards to nominate, but we’d love to have you. And NYC isn’t a bad place to visit! We also run an annual awards in London – if you’ve got a great example of innovation from the UK or Europe, get in touch at events@marketgravity.com and we’ll put you in touch with the London team.

 

Q) I’ve got a great innovation but am really busy and don’t have time to submit it – can you help me out?

A) Absolutely – we know that you innovators are busy people. Send us an email at events@marketgravity.com and we’ll give you a hand.

 

 Q) What time-frame do you consider for nominations?

A) We’re focused on innovations that have been launched within the past 12 months.

 

 Q) What’s the judging criteria for nominations?

A) The criteria for each category are as follows:

– New Product or Service: 1) A clear customer need, 2) An innovative new product or service, 3) A measurable market impact.

– New Venture: 1) A clear customer need, 2) An innovation that has taken your company into a new market or category, 3) A measurable market impact.

– Social Impact: 1) A clear customer need, 2) An innovation that has a clear benefit to society or the environment, 3) A measurable market impact.

– Innovation Program: 1) A clear challenge to solve, 2) A new process or program that has significantly changed your approach to innovation, 3) A measurable impact (internally or externally).

 

Q) Can I nominate a startup?

A) Afraid not. Startups get enough attention when it comes to innovation! We’re focused on corporate innovation. While there’s not a strict definition of what a corporate is, we focus on companies with more than 1,000 employees that have been operating for at least 10 years.
